Potami Beach is located in northern Samos, just outside Karlovasi, where the lush green gorge meets the Aegean Sea. It is one of the most impressive and distinctive beaches on the island, combining mountains, canyon scenery, and open sea in a landscape of intense natural beauty.

The shore is mainly pebbly with large stones, and the waters are clear and become deep relatively quickly. During the summer months, there are some organized amenities, such as a snack bar and umbrellas in part of the beach, without affecting the natural character of the area. Very close by starts the trail leading to the Potami Waterfalls, one of the most popular natural attractions of Samos, making the beach ideal for combining swimming with hiking.
