According to the 2021 census, Sourides has 21 permanent residents. Its population has fluctuated modestly over the past decades:

• 1991: 11 residents

• 2001: 27 residents

• 2011: 28 residents

The settlement was officially recognized in 1920 under the name Siourrides or Patiniotes, and renamed Sourides in 1928.
