🏝️ Ormos Koumeikon – The Peaceful Little Harbor

Ormos Koumeikon is a small and tranquil seaside settlement in southwestern Samos, nestled just below the traditional mountain village of Koumeika. It’s a modest yet charming bay where the sea meets stillness, far from the bustle of mainstream tourism.

🐚 Natural Beauty & Beach

The small beach at Ormos is a mix of pebbles and sand, perfect for those who seek quiet swims. The waters are crystal-clear and usually calm, as the cove is naturally sheltered from the winds. The scenery is completed by the tiny harbor with its moored fishing boats – a place where time seems to have stopped.

🍽️ Food & Tradition

At the edge of the settlement, you’ll find cozy family tavernas serving fresh fish, homemade meze, and local wine. Hospitality here is warm and sincere. There are no souvenir shops or commercial distractions – only locals and a handful of lucky visitors who came in search of peace.

🚗 Getting There

Ormos is about 3 kilometers from Koumeika village, 19 kilometers from Karlovasi, and roughly 30 kilometers from Samos town. The drive, while winding in parts, rewards you with scenic views of the mountains and the island’s southern coastline.

✨ A Small Tip

If you want to enjoy a sunset in pure serenity, bring a small table and sit by the sea. You’ll feel like the only person in the world – and maybe that’s the most valuable an offer.
