Kambos Marathokampou to Vigla:
The route starts from Kambos Marathokampou. After about 4.5 km (1 km of asphalt and 3.5 km of dirt road), you reach an altitude of 370 m. From there, follow the uphill trail to the Monastery of Evangelistria (650 m altitude). Continue to the chapel of Prophet Elias (1,150 m), then conquer the peak of Vigla (1,434 m). The hike covers approximately 7 km and takes 4–5 hours depending on pace and stops.Marathokampos to Pythagoras Cave:
From Marathokampos, follow the road towards Pythagoras’ Cave for about 5.1 km. From the parking spot, a 400 m trail with a 90 m elevation gain leads to the cave. The hike lasts around 30–45 minutes.

According to tradition, the philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras took refuge here. The cave lies on the eastern slopes of Kerkis and can be reached either from Marathokampos or Kambos. The journey offers an unforgettable blend of nature and legend.
